For the last twenty years, I have been a professor of history at various colleges in Maryland. Fourteen years ago I became a full time associate professor at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Over last twelve years I have had the privilege of running over twenty study abroad classes to five different countries (Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Turkey and the United Kingdom). I have also taken students on dozens of day trips to Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Baltimore as well as numerous Civil War Battlefields. I have also helped run dozens of camping trips and outings for my sons’ scout troop. Recently I have been elected for a three year term to the Board of Directors to the Howard County Historical Society in my home state of Maryland.

Philosophically I believe that a tactile learning experience, that of touching and physically being present in a location, gives a greater depth of learning and aids profoundly in our understanding of the world. I have had my greatest teaching experiences while on study abroad with students. I hope through this new endeavor I can use my experience and knowledge to help others maximize their experiences while travelling and helping broaden their minds to the massive possibilities the world has on offer.

I hope you chose FFC Historical Tours to facilitate your travel needs, and I look forward to being of service to you in helping you find the trip that’s right for you.
