Join guide Fred Campbell on a tour of this lesser known battlefield where the Confederacy staged its last invasion of the north and where the Confederacy had its northernmost victory in the Civil War. Walk the ground where Gen. Jubal Early defeated Gen. Lew Wallace. In this pyrrhic victory, the Confederacy knocked on the doors of the capital, but were delayed enough to deny them this prize. In this 2 ½ hour tour, you will walk the grounds, see the monuments and hear the stories of this struggle.
“Fred is a master at local Civil War tours, Antietam, Gettysburg and especially a little told story of Monocacy. Go!” -Bernard C.
“My family enjoyed great storytelling in a beautiful location from a knowledgeable guide about an interesting period of history. Frederick clearly loves Civil War history and answered all our questions.” – Aimee (Air B&B Experiences Review)
